Enfield EJA 18’s made hard work of beating a stubborn Billericay side on Sunday by a narrow margin which could have been greater. Town look an early lead when Paul Ogunboye released Alexander Pace who in turn flicked the ball to Tyler Brunt to open the scoring with a comfortable slot into the net. In the 17th minute Town had increased their lead with another well worked move, which saw Marcos Pancho start the move with a neat pass to Pace who swiftly move the ball on to Brunt who cross into the area found Reece Coughlan who had the easy task of tapping home.
Billericay pulled a goal back early in the 2nd half, but Town immediately restored their two goal lead when the home side only managed to clear the ball to the edge of the area where left back Piotr Maslowski volleyed the ball home for a fine goal. Having switched keepers at half time, Billericay again got into the game when Adam misjudged the flight of a corner which went straight into the goal and then gifted Billericay the equaliser having passed the ball to a home player who simply rolled the ball into the net. Town then showed their character by scoring the winner following a mistake from the home keeper allowed Coughlan to tap home his second.
Tyler Brunt was adjudged as man of the match.
