This match was switched from Hertford Town to the 3G facility at Donkey Lane, behind closed doors.
With a scheduled first team friendly match the following day at Grays Athletic, Town fielded a very young academy and trialists squad.
In unseasonal blustery conditions, Harrison Lee-Burke netted Town’s only goal, as the team took a 1-0 lead after ten minutes, when he slotted home a low cross from the right by Marcus Pancho.
Alfie Bonfeld in the Town goal saved a penalty on 38 minutes but, after the break, and with Town making a number of changes for the second half, a strong Hertford side went up a gear, scoring three goals without further reply.
