Town Secure Striker Hutchinson

We are delighted to confirm the signing of centre-forward Jake Hutchinson from Worthing.

A dynamic, physical number nine, 22-year-old Jake came through the academy at Colchester United before embarking on loan spells with Tonbridge Angels and Eastbourne Borough, where 14 goals in 29 appearances earned a U’s recall before netting a further four goals in the National League with Aldershot. He spent the second half of last term north of the border with Scottish side Scottish side Queen of the South, from whom he moved to Worthing at the beginning of this campaign.

“I’ve made no secret of wanting to add in the forward area, especially after recent departures”, said manager Gavin Macpherson. “Jake will give us a different option, he’s a goal scorer and that is something we certainly need; he’s really excited about playing for Enfield Town. I’d like to thank Worthing FC and Chris Agutter for making this as seamless as possible. We welcome Jake to the club.”

“Thank you for the welcome,” added Jake upon signing for the club. “I’m really excited to be here; after speaking to Gav and him telling me about the club and the way he works I was set on signing! I’m a striker who will put in 100% every game and wants to score goals, so as long as I work hard for the team I’m sure the goals will follow.”

Welcome, Jake!
