Welcome, Billy Holland!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Billy Holland as manager of Enfield Town FC.

Billy arrives in EN1 having parted company with Waltham Abbey, where he had been manager for the previous seven years after replacing previous boss Mark Stimson. Initially brought in as joint-manager, while continuing his playing career, Billy has been in sole charge for the previous three seasons at Capershotts, guiding the Abbotts to three consecutive play-off finishes at step 4 while winning plaudits for an attractive brand of football.

As a player Billy faced Enfield Town on several occasions; representing the likes of Aveley, Redbridge, and Hornchurch, as well as Waltham Abbey, where he remains the club’s record appearance maker and goalscorer.

Chairman Paul Reed said: “I’m so pleased to welcome Billy to the club; he was the board’s first choice and it’s fantastic to have been able to secure him following the brilliant job he’s done at Waltham Abbey. Billy has impressed us with his enthusiasm and passion during the recruitment process, and we can’t wait to start working together.”

“It’s no secret that we need a bit of a reset this summer and I’m confident Billy has the energy, skill and connections to ensure we blend some of last year’s squad with an exciting new crop of players ready for a positive season ahead.”

We will shortly be scheduling an evening for members to meet with Billy and his new management team and will announce a date as soon as we have one.

Everyone at Enfield Town FC would like to wish Billy and his team a warm welcome to the club, and every success in their new roles!
